A wonderful aspect of the work I do is the opportunity to meet and work with people internationally. My meetings in China went very well, there is an excitement around the forthcoming Olympics that will commence on August 8, 2008. So in May and June, India, Sri Lanka and China have been countries I have been working in particularly in the Service Provider segments.

Japan and Korea are countries where continued innovation and technology leadership are evolving at a rapid pace.

Gaming applications, pervasive computing, sensory system development and more technologies permeate communities in these countries. Take a subway in Tokyo, and one observes how a mobile phone is a credit card; a tool for movies, news, and for so called ubiquitous communications. I was stuck in traffic one evening in Korea, my host took out his mobile phone and we watched the news together - infotainment at its best!

I am preparing now for a short vacation, BUT rapid dynamics will pick up when I host the Broadband Forum Hong Kong 2008 conference plenary panel on 16 July 2008 .

I plan to travel to Shanghai, Beijing, China; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Seoul, Korea....
